Hey guys,
I recently dented my macbook pro (2010 15 inch) by accidentally dropping it. Luckily, it still works, and the only damaged part was one corner, that got a little dented in. It doesn't bother me too much, but would still like a repair.

Would it be better for me to fix it myself, or go to an apple store?
I've seen some upper cases on ebay for ~$200, such as http://www.ebay.com/itm/A1286-MacBook-Pro-15-inch-Mid-2010-TOP-CASE-PALMREST-W-KEYBOARD-/300658342672?_trksid=p3284.m263&_trkparms=algo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BFICS%252BUFI%26otn%3D21%26pmod%3D170775887471%26ps%3D54#ht_2089wt_1095

Would this be compatible with my mbp, and how hard would the repair be?
In addition, is it possible to just buy the case, and install the keyboard and trackpad seperately?

Here's a picture of the dent:

Thanks in advance

it's a battle scar. either pay the money for the repair or just leave it. as long as it works then why bother... i know, its annoying, buuuut... you did drop it.

plus, if you take something like that to apple and get are looking for a "repair" price, your'e better off just paying for a new macbook. it won't be cheap, and I would not attempt something like this myself.

I wouldn't worry about it, as long as it doesn't affect functionality. You'll get more benefit out of obsessing about dental hygiene.
