derp. "will the next iphone be unlocked" in a much longer way of saying that. obviously answer unknown

delete?

I would imagine this is a must as the V1 has it. If you need to change SIM card for whatever reason (defective SIM, etc) I can't imagine they would require you send it in for service.

I can remove the sim on my iPhone already =P

I'm sure you'll be able to roam, if that was your question.

When still in doubt, jailbreak and unlock your sim card.

i'll edit the body to make it more accurate, but, say i go to italy, and want to use my phone there. can i just put an italian sim card in and have it work? this is what i mean by "travel around the world with ease"

Oh, you mean will it be unlocked. Nobody knows for sure right now, though you could easily unlock the phone (to accept any sim card) by jailbreaking it once a hack for v2.0 has been found (and I think I read somewhere that they've already cracked the beta version...)

ah. did not know thats what "unlocked" means. but i actually did because i had to do it to my razr last summer. hmmm. ok thanks for the help!
