I almost always agree with Apple's design decisions and tradeoffs.
However, when I look at Amazon's cases now available for the iPhone 11 Pro, it gives me pause...

Many of the manufacturers obviously thought the entire camera square would be dark.

Which do you prefer?

Yeah the camera area should be all black.

I was excited to choose the Silver 11 Pro Max for this year, but decided against that because the cameras look hideous - big black splotches surrounded by silver.

So I'm now going to choose Space Gray, if I even get an 11 Pro Max at all, because the camera area just looks elegantly subtle compared to being intertwined by the stark other colors.

My choice is a third option not listed. The camera square of the 11 should be clear glass, not matte, and colored matched to the back.

Conversely, the pro models camera squares should be matte finished, not clear glass, and color matched to the back.

Why they switched textures of the square and back on each phone is beyond me. Otherwise I think I’d be much happier with color matching.
