iPod Design Similarities?

Hello everyone. This morning I was looking at my Apple in-ear headphones and suddenly it let my mind wonder off go to the iPhone and the new universal dock. Does anyone else notice similarities?

good catch, but i would just say that it's apple sticking to a simplistic design more than like that shape specifically.
