Hi everybody,

I launched an app a few days ago which can help you to design for the retina screen!

Before Apple announched the 'next generation' of the Macbook Pro, all Mac's displays were pretty similar in one regard. Every Mac display had a pixel density of 100 PPI, give or take. With those screens if you were to view designs for the physical world at their physical scale, the density of the pixels would often pose problems for readability and legibility, especially for small designs like business cards. The retina display on the new Macbook Pro has a density of 220 PPI, shows four times as many pixels as their non-retina counter parts and it solves the legibility issue for detailed designs. These must be the most awesome displays for designers, ever!

The question arises, how will designer tools like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator adapt to accommodate the retina resolution? What will they regard as 'Print Size' for the new displays? Regardless of their solution, if you want to display any design at its true physical size, there's always our new application Will it fit. With our new Mac app, you'll know to the pixel how big a design would be in the physical world, be it a business card, an iPhone app or a letter head. You can use it to preview your designs, no more need for proof printing. It's in the App Store, and it's ready for the Retina Macbook Pro!

I would love to hear what you think of this! :)

I got 6 promocodes for the people who want to give this a go...
