I need some recommendations for desks and places to get them like ikea or else where. I would really appriciate it of someone could help! Thanks in advanced

Buy a custom-made desk, they are surprisingly cheap

Unless you are on a very tight budget, I suggest you consider getting a custom-made wooden desk.

My custom desk was $200 (USD), it is exactly the width of my wall, and that means it is very wide (8 feet wide, 2.44 meters), and that gives me a ton of space. The price included stain and finish. The wood type, stain color, and finish matches my bookshelves, which were also custom and also a pretty good deal.

How is my desk so big, but also so cheap? Well, it is actually just a table. But that is exactly what I wanted. They could have bolted on a keyboard tray for a little more money (I forget how much, but it was cheap). They could have made wooden drawers, or bookshelves, but in my opinion those were too expensive.

I bought a 2-drawer black metal filing cabinet and stuck it under my "desk" (table).

I love it, I got exactly what I wanted. Yes, there are desks that are less than $200. Honestly, desks that cheap are not very good in my opinion, and they are not going to be exactly what you want. Yes, you do have to wait a little while for them to build it if it is custom. Yes, you can't see what you will get until it is finished, but you can look at other things in the shop to see the quality of workmanship.

I love my custom furniture so much, and it is so reasonably priced compared to medium-quality mass-manufactured furniture, I don't understand why more people don't buy from carpenters. Yes, low-quality mass-manufactured furniture is cheaper, but who wants that?

$200 for a custom made desk? Can we see some pics? That sounds like an amazing deal. I can't find anything locally for less than $500+ for something custom made.

Thanks,
