Desktop Buttons Software?

Hello!

Does anybody know of a software that transforms a select area of your desktop (say, specify an area that if you click) it acts as a button to do an action?

I've been looking for one, but can't seem to find any.

Not really, but you could look into Automator and Apple Scripts.

Folder actions can effectively turn a folder into a button.
Put the folder on your desktop and click away.
