Please see the screenshot attached. Every now and then my menu bar gets corrupted, with several menu titles disappearing or appearing garbled (in this particular screenshot, the leftmost "Apple" menu has also fallen victim to this bug). The menu items are clickable as normal, but they are invisible.
The same problem has also occurred in other areas of the desktop.
Some forum members have attributed the issue to graphics adaptor overhearing. This seems unlikely, however, because my monitored temperatures have been really low, and I have not been running any graphics-intensive applications (Flash, games, movies, etc.).
I do suspect that the culprit is my external 24" monitor. It seems to me that extended deskops (2 monitors) under SL still suffers from several bugs. This is just a hunch, though, and I have no definite proof.
Any ideas? Perhaps I should hold my breath until 10.6.3?
Thank you.
