I just bought an Mini running 10.13. I hooked it to my monitor and everything is fine except I don't see all the desktop. All the edges are cropped. I can't see but the edge of my Dock (on the left) and the "toolbar" at the top is not visible. I have been to Display in Preferences, and haven't found anything that fixes it. Any help is appreciated.

Have you changed screen resolution?

On my Apple TV I had to change the screen resolution from 1080p to 1280x1024 because I wasn’t able to see the edges on my tv screen.

Is it an actual computer monitor or a television that you are using as a monitor? Often you will need to turn off the "overscan" option on a television to eliminate exactly the issue you are experiencing... the other thing would be to look at the monitor settings to see if there are settings for image size... same concept as "overscan", but just done by adjusting the actual displayed image size.

What monitor (brand/model) are you using? That information would be helpful in diagnosing your issue and finding a solution.

Thank you dwfaust,

Overscan was enabled on my tv. Now I’m able to see the whole screen on 1080p.
