Machine: MacBook with OSX 10.6.2
One day I left my Macbook running overnight and the next day all my desktop files (except for the Mac Hardrive icon) were gone. Could not find a single file anywhere. All other folders/files not on the desktop seemed to intact.
I Purchased a Time Capsule and hooked it up. Left computer running overnight with new desktop files and woke up to an empty desktop again. I checked Time Machine and the files disappeared around 1:00am. Thanks to time capsule/machine I was able to restore the files.
So is there an elf out there erasing my files? Did my 4 year old secretly code a workflow to do this?
