'Desktop' folder on all external HDD's

Morning all,

It's not an issue as such, more of an annoyance (when trying to keep things tidy and organised) but on all 3 of my external HDD's a folder 'Desktop' keeps appearing. It's empty on all drives.

A similar topic was started a couple of years back - here - but no solid reason for it was found.

Any ideas? They're all Seagate drives if that makes any difference. Never had this before...

I just chalked it up to an OSX peculiarity. I don't really give it too much thought, since there's little we can do anything about it and it doesn't really affect anything.
