Desktop folders finder window not opening?

Hey guys,

This problem just started happening. I saved a few folders on my desktop today. After browsing the web a little bit, I did the 4 finger swipe to clear the windows. I double clicked on the folder but it won't open in finder. In fact, I had to double click three times before it did. I did click the desktop before the folder, so it would switch apps, so thats not the problem. I have the 2010 13 inch MBP. Anyone else have this problem or know what's going on?
