I have a feeling this has been covered, but I couldn't find anything using "search," so if it has, forgive me.

I'm just curious as to whether or not it's possible to place folders from different drives on my desktop without having to create an "alias" of said folder.

not sure about on the desktop without copying it over, you mean like a shortcut? you can do it on your dock, stacks ?

Your desktop is on your local drive. Therefore, any folder on your desktop would be on your local drive. If you have a "folder" on your desktop that points to an external drive, it's an alias.

Sorry guys, I didn't really explain myself that well. At any rate, I got it figured out.

Thanks for your help anyway.
