Desktop icon and description issue

I having an issue with my Windows partitioned HD icon on my desktop. I cant seem to change the image, or the description of it either. Tried looking around to see if I could find the answer on my own, but I had no luck. Anyone got any ideas?

As you can see, the icon is read only, and the area to change the name is shaded out.

yes, you can only change the name while in Windows. The icon should change through OS X though.

Copy an image, click the hd image in the "get info," then paste. Worked fine for the imac image, but not the windows image. Thanks for the help on the name change though, I knew it would be something dumb on my part.

you cant change it with osx that i know of....download liteicon...its free and it will let you cange it...you might have to restart you mac to see the change

Anyone have any idea on how to change the icon in windows? When I go into the properties of the HD, it doesnt have an option to change the icon.
