Hey everyone,

I got an older mac mini to use as my media center. I finally got the HDMI adapter and hooked it up tonight. Unfortunately the desktop is too big for the screen...meaning that I can't see the outer edges such as the top menus... I tried the 3 resolutions for that TV and all of them are just a little too big and I can't see the top menu.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

Go to System Preferences > Displays and play with the "Underscan" slider until it fits.

Thanks! I found in my display preferences a checkbox with overscan. I unchecked it and now the desktop is a little too small for the screen. I didn't see a slider to play around with. But this is much better since I can see the menu items.

The other poster asked about TV screen/res, I'm not really sure. My TV goes to 1080i. Right now the best size seems to be 720p. TV is Viore 42" plasma

Thanks
