Desktop moving !! ??

I left my daughter watching a movie on itunes and all hells broken loose. Now, the desktop doesn't quite fit the screen and when i move the mouse the screen moves to fit the view, and the displayed image is slightly off quality as that too has been enlarged.....any sugetions please to recify
