Has Microsoft ever explained why it hasn’t released a full desktop version of Office for iPads, for example for those with M processors? The mobile version is, to be honest, a disaster, and Office 365 in my opinion isn’t a full replacement either. I believe many people would be willing to pay for a proper Office version — and in fact, since they already use Office 365, they have to pay anyway.

Yup, the microsoft apps on ipad are just buggy and i have had a disaster with them recently with word which has made me move away from the app version to the web version (and moved away from on-device save to cloud save) of word which is 10x better than the ipad version.

Maybe I should try the web versions. I ended up just going back to the iWork suite and importing/exporting. If it weren't for all the bugs and crashes, I'd be happier with the native MS Office apps.

The web version works so much like the desktop version which is 10x better.
