Hello guys,

So my iPhone 3GS recently stop being recognized by my pc (and several other desktops and macs I tried); so I'm not able to sync it with my computer. The computers don't even detect it, and it doesn't list it as one of the devices. I've also tried various USB cables.

Otherwise, it functions completely fine. It charges fine with the mac, pc, and wall charger. Also, I have a USB cable that connects to my iPhone to my car's stereo system, and it still charges and recognizes my iphone - ie. it is able to play songs from my iPod application.

What could be wrong with my phone?

Thanks in advance

dose your home button work? if it doesnt or if it has water damage. try replacing the dock connector. i hope this helps. i just ordered mine because mine kept saying "device not recognized" in windows and just not responding at all to linux or mac.

Update: it fixed mine 100% just got it today and everything works!
