Desktop sharing on iphone 2.2.1

I am in need of developing desktop sharing app on iphone, first step should be atleast to get desktop picture on iphone with 'look only' controls of desktop on iphone. Next step may be to enable desktop controls to be active on iphone.
Any tips on how to startup, and any ideas welcome.

its very cool VNC app thank you, any pointers or document about how to design my own VNC client on iphone. basic question i have is to know what is the content type which show desktop on iphone.
