I found some forum threads about this, but most are from around 2005, so I thought I'd start fresh.

In my home, I have computers in my office, in my bedroom and in my living room. All of them are Macs running 10.6. I'd really like to be able to play music on one of those computers and have it simultaneously outputting all over the house. Having already spent thousands of dollars on Mac hardware, it seems ludicrous that a desktop computer could not be configured to act like an airtunes device.

Does anyone know of a good solution to do this?

Currently Airfoil is the application you need. You could also wait to see it Apple's new AirPlay will work across desktops or not.
