Desktop stickers

I just came across this set of stickers http://http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/icons_screensavers/spookystickers.html and downloaded it, just to see what that is exactly. Now, the description says you can decorate your desktop with it. But how can I use these stickers as "stickers"? All I was able to do was copying the files to the desktop so that you can see it with the name written underneath. Is this all you can do with them or is there a special trick? I haven't even found any related information with Google...

yeah those aren't really stickers. they are icons.

it's already on your mac. in your applications folder < stickies

is that what you're looking for?

No, but thank you. It's not that important. I just wanted to know if you could have images on your desktop, just like you would stick something onto the screen itself.
