Desktop Todo App

Hi there, is there a todo / notes app that lets notes remain on the desktop and notes to be added easily via a hotkey?
Preferably without a dock icon (menu bar icons are ok)

For Todo stuff Things and The Hit List are pretty popular. I think the widget Organized is pretty handy

Please take a look at ToDo Lists by AntLogic. Within this app you can create floating todo lists (which stays in front of all apps), quickly add tasks via system menu, or from any application by selecting text, right clicking on it, and choosing "Make new ToDo".

Also, it fully supports drag'n'drop - you make new task (with link) from any file, web URL, or even Mail contact.

It works directly with iCal database, so you'll keep synced.
