Desktop Trackpad Force Touch Model

Following Force Touch/Click's announcement yesterday, is it likely we'll see an updated desktop Trackpad to incorporate it?

I hope you're right about the Trackpad - the keyboard I could very easily leave though!

I was expecting exactly that to be announced during the keynote. I'd expect one to be in the works and ready for WWDC keynote or sooner.

Maybe they're saving it for the iMac refresh.

I find it strange when they announce new technology, essentially publicly disown/criticise older methods such as the older keyboard mechanism yet don't roll out a complete line of new peripherals with the new tech.

I'll interested to try the new tech, but I'm curious as to how long it will be before we get them as peripherals, versus in the box with an entirely new Mac.
