desktop wallpaper transition

Hi folks,

I'm sure I got the system to do this previously. i'm running SL and I've got my desktop wallpaper set to change every minute, but I've noticed that it's a straight replace, without a transition.

Should this be the case or should there be some kind of blend? If it's meant to be like this does anybody know how I can make it use a transition so that it's not so noticeable when it changes?

I think it's supposed to use a cross-fade transition.

Yeah, I'm not getting that at all, just a straight replacement without any kind of transition at all.
