On my mbp i can access everything fine with all of my other pc's and macs in the house on the network. Attached to my main desktop (windows 7) is an EHD that i use for storage mostly and backups for that computer. I share between this mbp and that desktop a lot. The name of the EHD was the WD My Book Elite. I immediately changed the name to StorageEXT for better referencing. Now, months later, i still see My Book as being shared when i connect to that desktop from this mbp even though there is nothing associated with that path (My Book). I click on it and it says "The operation cant be completed because the original item for 'My Book' cant be found." That is obvious as i have renamed it to StorageEXT.
Storage EXT also appears when i connected to that desktop via this mbp and a few other folders i share on that desktop. They all are r/w just fine. I do not know how to remove that My Book path from my mbp...
