I bought a Mac in 2020, New in the box, but 'about this Mac' says 2017. It's working fine, but 4 years in I'm just curious about the overall state of the SSD, and should I consider a new SSD, to keep this Mac going for many more years.(I love having lots of connections and SD card slot). I've done the S.M.A.R.T. check and it shows "verified", but is there any (idiot proof) after market software which would give me more details about the overall state of the SSD? - thanks

I downloaded DriveDx, and my SSD looks in great shape, thanks. But I don't understand how the 'power on time" is only 1,354 hours, after nearly 4 years. (screenshot yellow arrow)

Here's how Apple's NVMe-based SSDs work. Short power on time and a huge number of power cycles (see "Power Cycle Count"). Only real working time is measured (without STANDBY etc). Check DriveDx FAQ - https://binaryfruit.com/drivedx/kb#ssd-power-on-hours
