iOS Detecting Patterns In Images

Hi,

I am trying to detect patterns of images on the iPhone. I was wondering what is the best way to do this. I am only trying to detect simple patterns on clothes like stripes, checkers, lines, etc.

I was thinking of using OpenCV, but I have no clue how to use it. Does anyone have any suggestions on OpenCV or other algorithms?
