Figure this one out guys. Just got a used macbook pro from the last gen before the new unibody version. Installed leopard and used mac migration to get all my stuff over. Now the internet doesn't work. It detects the airport card, lets me join a WEP protected network with 5 bars, yet any program that tries to access the internet doesn't have a connection.

What gives?

Maybe the most simple of questions but easiest to fix.... Is the wireless router connected to the internet currently. Or can any other computer on the network connect to the internet through that router.

yeah. i'm on older macbook right now posting this. it's connected. i've also tried connecting to the neighbors, etc.. same story. doesn't work with my new macbook pro, works with my old macbook.

what the... it just started working for no apparent reason. i changed nothing with the router or macbook. oh well, at least it's working.
