How does one determine if the processor is Penryn on a MBP?

I'm specifically wondering if every 2.6 GHz early 08 MBP is going to be a Penryn processor - Apple doesn't seem to clearly denote this on their clearance or refurb sale pages? What about the 2.5 GHz models?

Also - is Penryn definitely the best option available for these MBPs? Are the current unibody MBPs using Penryn?

Thanks!

From the MR Guides:
Rev. E

Overview

This eagerly anticipated update occurred on February 26, 2008. The incremental update included Intel's latest Penryn-based Core 2 Duo processors, larger hard drives, more VRAM and multi-touch trackpads as well as a few other minor tweaks. Interestingly, the previous base model MBP had 4 MB of L2 cache while the Rev. E's base model has 3 MB of L2 cache. However, the higher clock speed will more than make up for the smaller L2 cache.

Everything from this revision (early 2008) will be penryn based.

The new Macbook Pros (rev F) also utilize the same Processor type (penryn) but not the same chipset (nvidia), adding DDR3 and the dual gpu (but not hybridsli) architecture.
