Hey, I'm new here. I wanna start developing iphone apps and as I've been doing research it appears everybody does it on Macs. I wanted to know if it's possible to make apps on Windows or if it's a waste of time and I must get a Mac.

Thanks

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure XCode is only for Mac OSX - In which case you'll have to buy a Mac or Hackintosh your current Windows machine ;)

Not very legal as far as Apple's terms of service, but Hackintosh or VMWare image are your only options.

Even with a hack or virtual I heard there can be problems when submitting the app without a real mac. :(

Buying a mac is a hard step to take. I bought my first mac for the sole purpose of making apps. Spending that much money on severely overpriced hardware was a large incentive to actually follow through and build the app.
