Device connected to iMessage?

Is there a list somewhere that shows how many devices are currently connected to imessage/facetime for a single apple id?

I recently sold my ipad and was just setting up icloud on my mac. Suddenly a notification pops on my iphone. "iPad is currently using *number* for imessage" I was like what? :confused::confused: I was 100% sure I wiped the device before selling it.
