So I was able to purchase couple of AT&T iPhone 5c as device only for a cheap price at Walmart. However when I try to use it with T-Mo it is not unlocking as it should.

Anyone experience something similar and what did you do to resolve?

Well either you can pay for unlocking service or return them. AFAIK with the exception of Verizon's iPhones (5, 5S, 5C, 6, 6+), everybody else's are locked out of the box.

To add to the above post, they're all locked out of box even if purchased device only, unless purchased from Apple in which case i know for a fact the ATT, T-Mobile, and Verizon ones are unlocked.

Return them.
Device only AT&T or T-Mobile purchased anywhere else but the Apple Store it will be locked.

Odd, cause I have not had this issue before. It's always been able to unlock mine bought from anywhere buy Apple or carrier

Try submitting an unlock request through AT&T. It should go through if the devices were never associated with contracts

The op would have to be able to login into a current or old att account. Return it asap. Why deal with the headache.

Just curious. Care to share how much? Considering one for our daughter.

I paid $200 as I was able to PM with another retailer, so it was a no brainer.

To update, I was able to call AT&T and they had to submit a request.

So far 1 request has been approved waiting for my other three to complete. They even admitted that it should be able to unlock and it is something that was not done correctly when I purchased it at Wallyworld..go figure.

Wow!! Great deal. Congrats.

First mistake going walmart for a device. If you look into it. Any product made destine for a walmart has been altered and or are not identical to the same device available say at, every other store. Check your product numbers from a walmart store product then check the numbers from the same product elsewhere. Every single item purchased at Walmart is altered to make cheaper and or has less.

LOL are you kidding me? Apple does not bend to anyones rules, even Walmarts. If you are thinking of off brands, yes they will make it specially for them.

That is false.
Its the same exact device sold everywhere.
Apple doesn't make specific altered or cheaper Apple devices for walmart.
