Hey all,

I'm new in these parts. But that's because I JUST GOT a new ipod touch!

As excited as I am, I also have been plagued with a few problems.

When I try to sync the ipod. It maybe syncs for a few minutes or so, and then comes up with an error message saying "Cannot sync, device timed out". So I close itunes, and then I start it again. It syncs smoothly for a few minutes again, and then... the error message comes again...

I've tried restarting the ipod and itunes, but nothing works...

Do you guys know how to solve this problem?

Thanks,

Ben

FYI - If your iPod takes FOREVER to sync.
Delete the files from the following folder and reconnect your iPod.

~/Libary/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/TheNameOfYouriPod/

Don't delete your iPod's folder... delete the files that are inside it.

It's a common issue, and has been linked to the usb host controller not supplying enough power, as far as I can tell..... and there still hasnt been a fix for it, other than buying a powered usb2.0 expansion card, like the belkin card.
