Devices and Volumes Freezing

On B&W G3, OS 9.2.2, when I run Devices and Volumes under System Profiler, machine freezes. Any idea what could be causing this?
 
Perhaps an extensions conflict.
Save your current extenions set.
Turn off all extensions, except for thoes that drive any external drives, and see what happes.
It is os 9, which while more stable than Windows 98 and ME, isn't OSX.
