Looks like us "2G" IPhone users won't have to wait long. I imagine this will be out very soon.

The 3G IPhone on the other hand, I imagine will take some time for them to get around the probably new bootloader, etc. Still, this is amazing.

I guess this will make some people happy where the Software writers of the Free Apps made for the Jailbroken phones don't want to pay Apple's fee to be able to place Free Apps on the App store. I'm torn there between Apple's rights on the iPhone, and what the users want for software.

FUD.

There is NO 'APPLE FEE' to place free (no-charge) Apps in the App store.

Well, not to place them on the store, but there is the $99/yr fee to join the iPhone dev program. I know I would like the ability to put my own mini-apps on my phone, and so far I haven't been able to justify paying that $99/yr to do so.

I believe you have to be part of the Developer Program if I'm not mistaken. I think it costs about $99, still not much but it is something. Then I'm assuming your program may not even make the cut.

Once your part of the program and get your app accepted then yes, there is no fee to host a free program.

So since they jailbroke 2.0, is there anything Apple can do through iTunes now to tell if your jailbroken? Brick your iPhone or render it useless until a restore?

if they wreck your phone on purpose bet they will get some big problems.
like ford puts sugar in ya cars tank..

This is great. Reminds me why I need to line up and waste my time to activate the phone in AT&T store instead of doing it conveniently at home.
