Why was there a tweet this AM from the dev team about an internal memo they received about a new smaller mini-iPad being released by Apple?! This has gotta be an April Fools joke right?

I was hoping their new post was gonna be something about jailbreak and unlock stuff, not iPad.

And a clever dig at the iPad, which to many of us would seem to be a regression from the iPhone (bigger, no voice, etc.).

You're right, it wouldn't be discussed on the iPhone forums because they made an iPad section on this site. Feel free to look there for people's comments. And yes, some people who have iPhones are going to be getting the iPad.

I just wanted to see how the iphone people thought about it. And yes I do know there is an Ipad section.

Yup, my thoughts exactly. Its larger size will make it MUCH better for use as an eBook reader and a web surfing device, which is exactly how I plan on using mine.
