I have Dexter Season 1 and 2 and want to use Handbrake to rip them. As you may know each Season is originized as multiple episodes on each of 4 DVD's.

I have only been converting DVD Movies so far and was not sure of the best way to convert TV Shows like this. Do most of you just create one mpeg4 file per dvd (like a movie) or 1 mpeg4 file for each episode (seems harder).

Like:

Dexter-S1-D1.m4v
Dexter-S1-D2.m4v
Dexter-S1-D3.m4v
Dexter-S1-D4.m4v

or like:

Dexter-S1-D1-E1.m4v
Dexter-S1-D1-E2.m4v
...
Dexter-S1-D4-E12.m4v

If you create 1 mpeg4 file per episode, is there an easy way to do it with handbrake? I mean do you have to convert 1 chapter at a time (seems hard to figure out). Or is there a setting in handbrake to separate episodes (chapters etc)?

Confused.....

I usually just do each episode separately, organized like S1E1, S1E2, etc.

In handbrake you have to setup each episode separately but it's really not that difficult. Just add each one to your queue and when finished, start the queue.
