Hi,

When you download a movie in the iTunes Store in HD, and you create a iPhone version for it it will "bundle" them. I've now got a bunch of movies I've downloaded elsewhere in HD, and when I create a iPhone version for them I now got 2 separate files in my iTunes.

Is there any way to bundle them into one?

Thanks.

Subler was the first program to introduce the ability to do this.

http://code.google.com/p/subler

This is great. So using Subler all one has to do is:

1. Set the cnID of both versions of the movie (SD and HD) to identical values (a random string of numbers)

2. Set one (the higher res video) as HD Video

3. Import to iTunes!

It worked for me. Thanks NightStorm

Update and Correction

Damnit, doesn't work for me. Gonna try something else tomorrow.

I recently revisted this using the latest Subler version. I had trouble at first but worked through it and had success once more.

- in the latest Subler, v0.14, the field was renamed from cnID to contentID.
- something I overlooked previously, it's important to change Media Kind (screenshot 2 above) to Movie or TV Show on both files for this to work.

Hoping that helps some more people. :D

Subler works perfectly for me now as well! I've been using it for a while now, and nothing to complain. It also doesn't need minutes to make changes to the video like MetaX does.

Subler is easy in use, it's blazingly fast and it has a lots of options!

check out iVI!

I recently found the app iVI in the Mac App Store and it's wonderful! It's video conversion software but it gives you the option to create the HD-SD versions of your source file. It will then tag them correctly and then import to iTunes with the HD-SD bundle intact.

Basically, it does it all with no effort.
