i need the font FUTURA on my pc and i dont have it. i used to but somehow its gone...

i have the font on my mac but its a .dfont and i dont know what that is...

i sent it to my pc but it didnt get recognzed by the font installer.
anyone have any tips?

cani convert it?
where can i get the futura font for free?

It's TrueType under the hood. You can convert it into Windows-friendly TTF using FontForge (free) or any of several tools sold by Fontlab.

It's not really a free font. You could buy it if you want to be squeaky clean legal, or try one of the many free font sites for a reasonable clone. Guide with some places to look.
