my 1st G iphone is stock without a power button, and i need to get my iphone into dfu mode.. how can i do it ?

Explain more of what you mean. How can you not have any buttons?

i have the home button!1
i dont have the sleep/wake button!! the button on the upper right side of the iphone!
i have ruined it.. i have destroyed the cable which is connected to the power button!! so i dont have the power button.. i just have the home button!
i need to get my phone into dfu mode! and i cannot, because i dont have the button!!
what alternative do i have to get the iphone into dfu mode ?
using terminal? using an application??

there must be a way ..

It's impossible to enter hardware DFU mode without the sleep/wake button functioning properly. Sorry, you're out of luck.

Are you serious? I really hate when people get ridiculously technical.
But last time I checked, the sleep/wake button also turned the phone on and off.

i have checked the option with someone who works with iphone and he said he could do it, but i cant get for him till next week, and am stuck without my iphone! i hate it!

LOL..maybe you should buy a cheap phone since you seem to just break them. How the hec did you destroy the cable?

Anyways, without the power button, you be screwed. Get it fixed or buy a new phone. There are places that fix those things and you can get a new cable in many places....even at Walmart.
