Is anyone else still having huge problems getting LOD installed on their macbooks? ive tried at least 5 times, all with no luck.. Is anyone else still having problems installing? and if you got it to install, how did you do it?

Download the universal version from Blizzard's store. You need to create an account. Once you have just put your CD-Key in and register it to your account. Then the website will let you download the latest version for free.

when i make an account where do i go to get to the download? i can see the game, and digital download, but it never prompts me for the cd keys, instead it just asks for my credit info

When you are logged in, you should see a "My Games" (lower right) or similar section. In there you can add games via CDKey. I will chase up my details and log myself in so I can find the exact place if you still have issues.
