Okay, so I bought a Lumix F3 yesterday, and immediately charged the battery until the charging light goes out (as is explained in the manual), but I have diabolical battery life, judging by the crude, 3-segment battery indicator. It says, after taking ten or so shots, that I am on 1/3 battery life ...

How is this possible? Should I leave the battery on charge longer, even though it will have stopped charging, according to the LED?

So confused, and slightly annoyed.

Thanks

I would say that the fault lies with the battery, camera, charger or you.

I don't think panasonic would sell a camera that can only take 30 shots on one charge (unless they are trying to get people to familiarise themselves with the film days!). So I would suggest you read the manual again and check you did everything right.

Perhaps discharge the battery (leave it recording a video would be a quick drain) then leave it charging overnight and see how the battery life is tomorrow.

If it's still bad then then contact your retailer.
