Greetings,

Long time Mac'er, intermediate tech skills. 15" 2018 MBP. I'm having a heck of a time with bluetooth and other wireless peripherals: Sony bluetooth headphones, wireless usb mice, apples wireless mouse (gen1).

My WiFi itself is fine and doesn't have any problems. But I frequently just have to reboot my system to get anything working. Everything is jittery. Mouse isn't smooth, audio stuttering. I've ran through the top 20 search results and tried everything. Debug menu to reset the BT model, forgetting everything, push AAC instead of SBC for headphones. Disabling WiFi and just using a Cat6 connection.

I'm using 3 external monitors and a load of drives and devices.

But, after trying so many things, I'm just not sure how to actually diagnose the issues. My wireless mice are not bluetooth. My headphones this morning rolledback to the SBO codec. Just a lot of seemly random and weird issues that I can't get rid of. Rebooting daily is quite the pain.

Any help?!

It's impossible to remotely diagnose a radio problem with certainty.

But one possibility is that one of these myriad devices you've plugged in is causing radio interference. I have no idea which device, but as you know, these days, there is a ton of very cheap, Chinese-made equipment that doesn't exactly follow all the rules, so maybe one of the devices or one of the cables is "noisy" and creating radio interference. You've got to try disconnecting and powering off all of your accessories and attaching/powering them one at a time to see if one of them is the cause of your radio woes.

@Alameda Thanks for the post. My question was about potential diagnostic tools within Mac OS or addition programs, sorry if I wasn't very clear with that.

I've tried isolating the specific problem, but once it has happened it seems that only a reboot will provide a full, albeit temporary, cure. I'm wondering if it's also a software/KEXT problem of some sort. But I don't know enough about logs and event viewing on Macs to track down any relevant debugging info.
