i came upon a "junked" Mac Pro (this model: https://everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-eight-core-3.0-specs.html) that seems to have a bad power supply. When i press the power button, fans spin up and I see +12V and +5V on peripheral power connectors, but i don't see the PWR_ON diagnostic LED come on, i only see TRICKLE and EFI_GD. notably, a lot of heat seems to come out of the PSU. i unplugged the thing and took a close peek inside, and i felt a lot of hot air coming out (after it had been unplugged for awhile) and smelled faint cooked electronics smells. my questions are:

1) seems fairly obvious that the PSU is blown, is this a safe assumption?
2) is it worth $100 to replace the PSU, from this site (614-0407 is indeed the model number printed on the PSU): https://www.dvwarehouse.com/661-430...2006---2007-614-0407-Refurbished-p-34032.html
3) is it worth it at all to fix this computer? right now my only computer is a 2012 MBP that has seen a lot of use and had a lot of work done. it would be nice to have a relatively powerful desktop machine at home. i know the machine is dated, but i'm not particularly concerned about that

thanks in advance for your helpful replies!
