I'm looking for a diagnostic tool that will reveal the address of the optical drive in my Mac Book so that I can use cdrdao to make exact copies of CDs. (The fact that OS-X does not provide software to make exact CD copies is a known shortcoming of the Mac.)
I have used MacTracker, Onyx, and System Profiler maintenance programs; but none of these reveal the bus address for the optical drive, as far as I can tell.
Or, maybe someone knows where in the operating system this information is kept. I am a bit familiar with Unix and Linux, but OS-X is enough different that I do not know where to look.
Your advice appreciated.
