Hi All,
Today I discovered an amazing feature of the watch, that not even the iPhone has. I thought I would share as I'm sure I'm not the only one that will find it useful.
I send messages in different languages. And for quite a few years I've been submitting to Apple the feature to ask Siri to compose messages in different languages (e.g. Text my sister in Spanish... and then the message) but it doesn't work. I know you can go to the messages app, then tap on the mic button and then dictate in whatever language the keyboard is set to. But that's not really useful if I'm cycling or driving and just want to send a quick reply.
So while playing with the watch I decided to give it a go and see if by any chances it would recognise the language I dictate the message, and it does! You don't even have to tell what language you want to use, it will detect it from previous message. At first it didn't really want to work, but once I sent one audio message, it then worked. I'm assuming it uses the language from previous messages to figure out which one to use, as even the quick replies changed to Spanish (in my case), even if the watch language is English.
I then tried on the phone to see if it would work but nope, Siri only lets me send message in the language that is set. I wish Siri would recognise depending on whom I'm sending the message to...
At least I can now use the Watch for those quick replies!
