I rarely use dictation nowadays since the voice recognition was terrible (especially for non US english ). Recently I tried dictation and found it spot on . I am now using it regularly to send replies to messages and there is a clear improvement in the accuracy to the point that it can be used my daily driver for replying to messages. This has been a huge change and I have noticed this only since iOS 8. Is this a preparation for using voice commands for apple watch ? Anyone else notice the same thing?

Voice recognition has always been pretty accurate for me, but I'm in the US. I'm sure apple is always trying to improve their product, apple watch or not, so it doesn't surprise me that accuracy would increase over time.

I've switched to dictation as well and it works great for me. A few words are off but they are easily corrected.
