Dictation issues?

I've experienced a few dictation issues over the past couple of days. I've been in good wifi range at home yet I've not been able to dictate either SMS replies or inbox items for my to do app (native).
I get an error along the lines of the watch can't do dictation right now.
It was one thing on WOS1.0.1 that worked so well...
Like all bugs it's not happening all the time...
