Dictation length?

I noticed on the early reviews the phone wont begin typing until the dictation is done (user pushes the done button). I'm wondering, how long will the phone record a dictation before it either: stops recording, or starts typing?

In other words, what are the dictations limits? Has there been any insight on this? This would be great for taking notes! =D
