Quick question?

Anyone know how to get the microphone up using the smart keyboard. When I have the keyboard attached and I am in messages the microphone for dictation disappears. I get I can type quickly, but when I am at my desk I have the keyboard up and like to hit the mic and dictate my message, just have to detach the smart keyboard to be able to do it.

Any help would rock,
